... And one of the main criticisms psychics receive is that a particular prediction did not come true! However, there are several considerations to bear in mind when asking a psychic to “foretell” your future. The first point: The future is fluid. It is subject to change based on the choices each of us makes in our lives. Be very clear: The future is not written in stone. If that’s the case, why bother going to a psychic? You go to a psychic because the future can be changed! An individual accessing their psychic abilities [through whatever tool that works best for both of you: tarot, runes, clairvoyance, auric/energy readings, palmistry, et cetera] is like an observer in an airplane. They have an expanded view of the up-coming terrain in comparison to the Querent [the person asking for the reading] who is often stuck in the trenches able to see only the usual “stuff” of their daily lives. A psychic provides the Querent with an expanded body of information. If the Querent is happy with the direction toward which things are going, they only need to continue as they are, and the Future will move toward them as indicated. If, however, they are concerned with the prediction, they have the information and opportunity to make changes. Which brings us to ... The second point. A psychic is not the ultimate authority in your Life. YOU ARE. Visiting a psychic is like researching a new course of action, like investigating the next steps in your Life. It is inappropriate, however, to make the psychic responsible for the outcomes in your Life. Their role is as a guide, an advisor or an information source. To take the information a psychic gives you—especially negative information—as gospel, creating it word-for-word in your Life is a misuse of the Reader’s purpose and an abdication of your responsibility. Many psychics refuse to divulge information concerning death or extreme circumstances because many clients take that information so strongly to heart they actually create the condition or circumstance as predicted. That’s not why the information is given. It is given so that if you don’t want that circumstance, if you don’t like that situation, you have the opportunity to change it! But: It means having the courage to take the responsibility for yourself. The third point. Psychic readings are about Free Will and Personal Responsibility. If you want someone to tell you what to do, go cry on a friend’s shoulder. Often, they are happy to tell you how to fix your Life. [Unfortunately, it must be admitted there are many psychics who will also want to tell you what you ought, must or should do. In that case, it is recommended you take whatever advice seems most relevant to you, then make your own choices.] Provided you are aware this Life is your Life to live as you choose, a psychic can give you an expanded scope of information and make recommendations or suggestions for different courses of action. Nothing more. For these reasons, I say the most successful psychic never has a negative prediction come true. If the Querent is properly advised of an upcoming difficult circumstance and makes the best choice for them personally, then ultimately only good can come of the situation.
